
- This course is the perfect introduction for schools/organisations to support bereaved and grieving children who are ND and/or have SEND/LD.
- During the session we will look at our roles and the impact of supporting bereaved individuals.
- The importance of acknowledging the bereavement, grief and loss of children who are ND and/or have SEND/LD.
- Recognising the range of ways that the students communicate their grief and how we can respond to and support their grief.
- You will develop a toolkit of activities, resources and books to support your children.
- This course is for professionals working with children with SEND/LD (also appropriate for those working with adults).

- A specific course focused on the grief of children with SLD and PMLD.
- How do we know if they are affected by grief?
- Overcoming the disenfranchised grief of this population.
- How do we support grieving children with minimal or no verbal language?
- What resources and techniques should we use?

- This course shows you how to get the very most out of Good Grief Toys®
- You will learn how to use toys to prepare children for visiting a relative in hospital, attending a funeral, returning to school after a bereavement, transitioning to a new respite carer etc.
- We will look at how to use the toys with a range of grief and loss experiences in a variety of different ways
- The course also covers the importance of children using the toys in both structured learning and free play to help them process grief
- We will think about how the toys can be used support the wider curriculum and how the toys can give staff confidence to talk to children about about difficult subjects
- This course is for professionals working with children with SEND/LD (also appropriate for those working with adults).
