This course is designed for professionals working with individuals with severe, profound or profound and multiple learning disabilities.
'Grief & SLD/PMLD Introductory Course' provides information and advice on how we can best support individuals with SLD/PMLD with the issues of bereavement, grief and loss.
- A specific course focused on the grief of children with SLD and PMLD
- How do we know when they are grieving?
- How do we support grieving children with minimal or no verbal language?
- What resources and techniques should we use?
- These and many more questions will be answered during the course
- You will finish this course with a wealth of resources and strategies
- This course is for professionals working with children with SLD/PMLD (also appropriate for those working with adults with SLD/PMLD)
The course is informal, varied and interactive in its delivery - it's made up of videos, audio recordings, visuals, text and activities to help you reflect on your own practice and think about possible changes for the future.
This course takes approximately 90 minutes to complete.
